WEB DESK: The most popular app WhatsApp has reduced the age limit for its users from 16 years to 13 years in the UK and EU countries

As per detail, Earlier, users in these regions had to be at least 16 years old to use WhatsApp, while in the United States, the minimum age requirement was 13.

In a statement released by WhatsApp, the company announced that it is updating its rules and regulations, including changes to its privacy policy. As a result, the minimum age for using WhatsApp in the UK will now be reduced from 16 to 13 years.

WhatsApp emphasized that despite these changes, there will be no alterations to the services provided. Users’ private images and calls will continue to be end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that messages sent or received cannot be read or listened to by WhatsApp itself.
