Power of heatwaves to be diminished from today

Karachi: The power of heatwaves in Karachi have diminished while it is expected that the intensity of heat will be declined from Sunday, today.

According to the meteorological department, it is likely that the highest temperature will be as more as 37 degree centigrade.

Light breeze blowing in the city from southwestern direction with 74 percent humidity level, according to weather report.

As per the met department, the weather in the mega city during the next 24 hours will be hot and humid.

Whereas the air quality index has been declared better while Karachi has lowered down to position 14 in the most polluted cities of the world.

Maximum temperature 39 Celsius recorded in Faisalabad, Jhang, Multan, Bahawalpur and D.G. Khan in the morning. Temperature goes as high as 38 Celsius in Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Bannu, Sibi and Turbat, while mercury soared to 37 Celsius in D.I.Khan, Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad.

Moreover, temperature remained 36 Celsius in Islamabad and Dadu, 35 Celsius in Peshawar, 33 Celsius in Hyderabad and Nawabshah, while 32 Celsius in Karachi.
