20th death anniversary of famous singer Mujeeb Alam being observed today

Web Desk: Today is 20th death anniversary of famous singer Mujeeb Alam.

Artist born in February 4, 1948 in Kanpur and after some times establishment of Pakistan migrated to Karachi.

Since his childhood days his voice was melodious while he stepped in the world of music in the age of 12 years by singing in radio.

Under the impact of his singing in Radio musician Hassan Latif provided him opportunity of singing in his movie Nargis but this movie could not be released.

Mujeeb Alam’s first movie that released was “Majbor”. Whereas in 1966 he recorded his songs in the movie “Jalwa” and “Chakori”.

After that he never turned back and decorated the film world from his pleasing voice.

Mujeeb made his reputation in the film industry when Ahmed Rushdy and Mehdi Hassan songs had acclaimed sucess of the movie.

He was versatile in languages as he spread his voice magic by singing songs in Bangali, Pashtu and Punjabi besides Urdu.

The movies in which his songs were admired were “Dil Dewana”, “Ghan Apna Ghar”, “Jan Arzo”, “Maa Beta”, “Lori”, “Tum Milay Pyar Mila”, ” Soghat”, “Shama Aur Parwana”, “Qasam Us Waqt Ki”, ” Awara”, “Meray Hamsafar”, “Anjan” “Hatim Tayee” and “Ma Kaha Manzil Kaha” were on the top.

Mujeeb Alam died after a heart attack on June 2, 2004 in Karachi. But his songs are still popular.
