ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rain, thunderstorm in upper parts of country.
As the country remains under the grip of heatwave and dry weather, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that downpours are expected to hit upper and central parts of Pakistan from this week.
A statement released by PMD Monday highlighted that the hot weather conditions would be subsided by the thunderstorms and precipitations in the upper and central parts of Pakistan including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Diamir, Astore, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Murree, Galliyat, Quetta and Zhob.

The Met Office forecast that dust, thunderstorms and rain in upper parts of the country are expected from June 4 to June 7, due to a shallow westerly wave.
