Lahore: Provincial budget of Punjab for financial year 2024-2025 will be presented today.
The Budget estimated at an outlay of Rs 5377 billion while for the first time in the history Rs 800 billion will be allocated for the development work.
The next-year budget a whopping sum of Rs 600.69 trillion will be spent on the education.
The provincial government has suggested allocation of Rs 24 billion for industries and commerce.
The Punjab government also recommended Rs 1 trillion, 1 billion and 190 million for agriculture. Whereas it is suggested that Rs 406 billion will be allocated for health.
Moreover, the Punjab government will get Rs 3700 billion under the National Finance Commission (NFC).
The Punjab cabinet meeting underway in the chair of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
The cabinet meeting will approve the budget.
