Adiala Jail officials denied Faisal Chaudhry’s entry to Adiala jail

RAWALPINDI: Dispute occurred at the entrance of Adiala Jail when Faisal Chaudhry, the lawyer for PTI founder Imran Khan, was denied entry. This led to a heated exchange between Chaudhry and the jail staff, during which he used offensive language.

The incident took place at Gate No. 5 of Adiala Jail, where Chaudhry was stopped by the staff. Despite his protests, he was not allowed to enter. Chaudhry demanded to know who had ordered his detention and expressed his frustration through strong language. Jail officials, including Assistant Superintendent Imran Riaz, attempted to calm him down and explained the situation. Eventually, Chaudhry was permitted to enter the jail.

Following the incident, Faisal Chaudhry submitted a formal complaint to the Adiala Jail authorities, requesting action against the staff involved. He emphasized that as Imran Khan’s lawyer, he has been representing him in all cases, and his legal rights were violated during this incident.

This event highlights ongoing tensions between political figures and law enforcement agencies in Pakistan, underscoring the challenges in maintaining order and professionalism within the justice system.
