In the second Test against Pakistan, the 28-year-old batter completed his double century off 266 balls. By the time he reached his double century, he had hit 1 six and 24 fours.
Rassie van der Dussen was dismissed for 259 runs after facing 343 balls, with a strike rate of 75.51. His innings included 3 sixes and 29 fours.
It’s noteworthy that this is the first double century by a South African batter in Test cricket in 9 years. The last time a South African scored a double century was in 2016 when Hashim Amla made a double century against England at the same ground.
