Cristiano born in Madeira, he faced numerous challenges in his early years when he worked on the streets to support his family.
He overcame several obstacles with his mentality, resilience and hard work to become the leading goalscorer in football history.
Ronaldo got his big break under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. The Portuguese attacker won several trophies in England before moving to Real Madrid in the 2009/10 season.
He won more silverware at the Spanish capital including four Champions League titles, establishing himself as an all-time great.
In 2016, Ronaldo did the unthinkable by guiding Portugal to Euro glory with a victory over France. The football veteran is currently plying his trade in the Saudi Pro League with Al Nassr.
Ronaldo now has his eyes set on reaching the 1000-goal milestone before he hangs up his footballing shoes permanently.
