Islamabad/Peshawar: Tremors of an earthquake jolted in Islamabad and its surrounding areas as well as various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday, afternoon.
The earthquake was also felt in Rawalpindi.
The tremors were felt in KP areas of Peshawar, Noshehra, Swat, Shangla, Swabi, Kohat, Chitral, Lower Dir and Malakand.
Besides that the tremors were also felt in Timergara, Bonair, Mangora.
The earthquake jolted in Abbottabad as well and surrounding regions.
Residents came out of their homes, offices and shops in panic while reciting the Kalma Tayaba.
No immediate reports of casualties or damages have been received.
The intensity of the earthquake recorded 5.2 at the Richter scale while its epicenter was border area of Afghanistan and Tajikistan 198 km deep under the ground.
