WEB DESK: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a major decision regarding the Islamabad Regional and Zonal Cricket Associations.
The PCB has dismissed Shakeel Shaikh from his position as the President of the Islamabad Regional Cricket Association. Additionally, all office bearers of the Islamabad Regional and Zone Cricket Associations have also been relieved of their duties.
PCB has declared all elections of the Islamabad Regional and Zonal Cricket Associations null and void, including the election of the Regional Cricket Association Islamabad. All elected office bearers have been instructed to immediately vacate their offices.
This decision has been made in light of the invalidation of the March 2023 elections and the ruling of the Independent Adjudicator on May 27.
The PCB has directed all related matters to be immediately closed. A notification regarding this has also been issued by Abdullah Khuram Niazi, Director of Domestic Cricket.
