Baba Bulleh Shah’s 261st Annual Urs Celebrations Underway

Web Desk (August 27, 2018): 261st annual urs celebration of Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah, continues on second day today. Large number of visitors and devotees are making their way to his shrine.

The three-day celebrations of the 261st urs of Punjabi Sufi poet Syed Abdullah Shah Qadri popularly known as Baba Bulleh Shah began in Kasur on Sunday. Apart from foreigners, score of visitors and devotees are heading towards the shrine to participate in celebrations.Religious affairs committee made arrangements for the Urs, including free meals for the devotees (Langar) and organized gatherings of recitation of Naat and Punjabi Sufi poetry during the three-day event.The district police has also claimed to have make fool-proof security arrangements for the Urs. Kasur district administration has announced a local holiday in the district today to observe the celebrations.
