Jimmy Carter was born on October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia, and spent his childhood in the nearby community of Archery. Following his graduation from the United States Naval Academy in 1946, Carter began a career in the Navy, where he specialised in submarine service. His experiences during this time shaped his leadership qualities and commitment to public service, which would later define his presidency.
After retiring from the Navy, Jimmy Carter entered politics. After winning a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Georgia, he won the election of the Governor of the State of Georgia in 1971.
In 1976, the 39th president of the United States became the 39th president of the United States by winning the American presidential elections. During his tenure, the famous Camp David Agreement was signed between Egypt and Israel. The occupied territory was handed over to Egypt.
