Islamabad: An inquiry commission set up for interrogation of Faizabad Sit-in case back in 2017 has exonerated ex-spy chief lieutenant general Faiz Hameed.
As per the report then Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi had given a task of settling the matter.
The army chief gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General (DG) Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) lieutenant general (retd) Naveed Mukhtar had given permission to Faiz Hameed to broker an agreement.
Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, then PM, Ahsan Iqbal, that time interior minister and chief minister Punjab then Shahbaz Sharif have denied facilitation role in the sit-in.
