DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the T20 players ranking.
In the updated ICC T20 batters ranking, Australian star Travis Head has retained his position at the summit, showcasing his excellent form in the format. Pakistani batting sensation Babar Azam has slipped one place to rank 8th, while his compatriot Mohammad Rizwan currently holds the 9th position. This marks a notable shift for Pakistan’s batting lineup, with both players striving to regain their previous standings.
On an encouraging note for New Zealand, Tim Seifert has made a remarkable leap of 20 places, now sitting at 13th, while Finn Allen has ascended 8 positions to claim the 18th spot, highlighting the emergence of talent from the Black Caps.
In the T20 bowlers’ rankings, West Indies’ Akeal Hosein continues to impress, maintaining the top position.
Unfortunately for Pakistan, the nation currently has no bowlers represented in the top 20. However, Haris Rauf has made progress, climbing 4 places to secure the 26th rank, while Shaheen Afridi’s performance has seen him drop 6 places to 30th.
Lastly, in the T20 all-rounders ranking, India’s Hardik Pandya remains unchallenged at the top, solidifying his status as one of the premier all-rounders in the format.
