WEB DESK: The Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, along with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and other relevant aviation authorities, has issued notifications declaring the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and relevant aviation authorities have issued multiple notices announcing the temporary closure of 32 airports in northern and western India until May 14.
As per government directives, the following airports will be closed: Adampur, Barnala, Amritsar, Onthi Pur Bhind, Bhopal, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kashmir Gurdaspur, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Nalia, Pathankot, Patiyala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise, and Attari airports.
The notification states that all civil flight operations at these airports will be suspended during this period.
Airlines and flight operators are advised to plan alternative routes in accordance with the current air traffic advisories. Arrangements for the temporary closure are being coordinated with relevant ATC units to ensure safety and minimize disruptions.
