WEB DESK: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli government would vote on the ceasefire deal with Hamas that calls for a pause in fighting and the release of hostages.
According to Israeli media, under the agreement, the first hostage will be released at 4 PM on Sunday.
On the other hand, Israeli attacks on Gaza continue, with 113 Palestinians being martyred in the past 24 hours and over 200 injured. Hamas has warned Israel, stating that airstrikes after the ceasefire declaration are putting the lives of Israeli hostages at risk.
In a statement, Abu Ubaidah, spokesperson for Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said that after the ceasefire agreement was announced, Israel carried out attacks on certain locations, one of which housed a female hostage.
He said that the name of this woman was included in the list of hostages to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire.
Abu Ubaidah added that while details about the condition of the female Israeli hostage were not provided, he emphasized that any Israeli attack at this stage could turn the release of hostages into a tragedy.
It is important to note that despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, attacks on the occupied Gaza Strip continue, with 80 Palestinians martyred in the latest strikes.
