Jaffar Express operation concludes, 33 terrorists killed, 25 passengers and Four Soldiers Martyred

WEB DESK: Director General of ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated that the operation has concluded, and all 33 terrorists present at the site have been eliminated. During the operation, the hostages were safely rescued.

In a conversation with a private TV channel, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif stated that on March 11, terrorists targeted the railway track in Bolan.

The terrorists aimed at the railway track and halted the Jaffar Express train, and railway officials reported that there were 440 individuals on board the train.

DG ISPR reported that, terrorists took passengers of the Jaffar Express hostage, and during the operation, the terrorists were in contact with individuals in Afghanistan. The terrorists were using the passengers as a shield.

DG ISPR reported that, the recovery operation was initiated immediately, with participation from the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Frontier Corps, and SSG personnel. The terrorists had seated the hostages in three groups, and the hostages were rescued in phases.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that all the terrorists present at the site have been eliminated, and the total number of terrorists was 33.

The Director General of ISPR reported that today, women and children were also rescued, and there was no harm to any hostages during the clearance operation, which was conducted with great caution.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry indicated that, prior to the final operation, the inhuman terrorists had already taken 21 innocent lives, and four FC soldiers were martyred.

The DG ISPR mentioned that, the area is rugged and far from populated regions, and innocent people were targeted under the direction and facilitation of foreign masters. The terrorists used the hostages as human shields, and their ideology has no connection to Islam or Balochistan.

According to the DG ISPR, we successfully rescued the hostages in the final operation without any casualties. In the final clearance operation, no passengers were harmed; the operation was carried out with great caution and professionalism.

He stated that, no one should be allowed to target innocent civilians and that those who do so “they will be hunted down” , especially after the incident involving the Jaffar Express, which has “changed the rules of the game.” He emphasized that these terrorists have no affiliation with Islam or Balochistan.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reported that a total of four FC personnel were martyred, with three soldiers killed near the post and one soldier martyred during yesterday’s operation. He confirmed that no soldiers were killed during the final operation today.

The DG ISPR mentioned that the alliance between terrorists and their masters has become evident to the world, and this nexus was also revealed in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. The world has once again witnessed this connection.

He expressed regret that some specific political elements activate social media for their purposes, stating it is unfortunate that certain political figures are sacrificing national interests for the sake of power. No amount of regret is sufficient for this issue.

The DG ISPR said that the aware citizens of Pakistan are recognizing the disruptive politics behind these actions and are beginning to understand the complex hands involved in such politics.

It should be noted that, yesterday, terrorists halted the Jaffar Express traveling from Quetta to Peshawar with a bomb and took 500 passengers and crew hostage.

The terrorists opened fire on the Jaffar Express in the Guddalar and Piro Kanri areas, resulting in multiple passenger fatalities.

Subsequently, security forces launched an operation during which they managed to rescue 190 hostages, including 58 men, 31 women, and 15 children.

37 passengers injured in the terrorist attack were taken to the hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance.

Meanwhile, 57 passengers have been transferred to Quetta, and 23 others have been sent to their relatives in Machh and Ab Gham.
