KCCI delegation calls on CM Sindh to highlight problems of Karachi

Karachi: A delegation of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) led by its Vice Chairman Anjum Nisar on Wednesday called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The KCCI delegation highlighted law and order situation of the city , utilities infrastructure issues and public transports in Karachi.

Syed Murad Ali Shah assured the KCCI delegation to solve all the problems at the earliest. He said that under the Sindh government all the issues will be solved.

He said that law and order situation in Karachi is better.

Senior Provincial Minister who was in the meeting urged the investors to invest in transports and the provincial government will provide perks in this regards.

Sharjeel Memon said that the provincial government is bringing more electric buses on roads while he said that a staggering amount of Rs 120 billion under the (Infrastructure Cess)have been stuck in the courts.

The CM Sindh invited traders to work together with the provincial government for resolving the cases of Infrastructure Cess.

The CM said that coordination between business community and police will be beefed up while the government is also bringing a procedure for selling of old mobile phones.

He said that patch up work on roads started detoriated by recent rains while he said that Sindh should get its share of gas so that the industries could be developed.

He said that Karachi gives highest amount of tax as it has large opportunity of business.CM Sindh said that water issue of industrialists will be solved soon.

The CM also directed fumigation in the city.

He apprised that work on Karachi Circular Railway is underway while efforts are also being made to include KCR in the CPEC.

Home minister Sindh Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar assured the KCCI delegation that work is on to improve law and order situation in Karachi.


Additional Inspector General (IG) Police said that we have arrested more than 6000 criminals while Sindh police started taking action against ragman who purchased parts and body of theft cars.

The KCCI delegation inlcludes Anjum Nisar, Javed Bilwani, Mian Ibrar, AQ Khalil, Zia Ul Arfeen and Mian Faisal.

The CM Sindh accompanied with Sharjeel Memon, Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo, Murtaza Wahab, secretary energy, Chairman P and D, secretary to CM, industries, local bodies, . Besides that secretaries of health and transport, additional IG Police Javed Alam Odho.
