Murad orders DCs to control prices of essential items during Ramadan

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities concerned to control prices of essential items during Ramadan.

Addressing a meeting in Karachi on Monday,today, he directed all divisional commissioners to take action against hoarders and profiteers as per law.

The CM said that the government has powers to confiscate hoarders items and put all on auction.

Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the commissioners to keep prices of food items and edible realistic.

He said that an impressive law of 2022 against hoarding exists, under the law the government has an authority to confiscate all things of hoarders and auction it.

The Sindh Chief Minister also directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during the Ramdan.

The meeting was informed that over 250 Bachat Bazaars have been established in Karachi city.
The CM directed that regulate Bachat Bazars in an organized and impressive manner.

He added that for retaining traffic flow an impressive management of bazars be ensured.
He instructed the Deputy Commissioners to control artificial inflation and unneccessory price rise.

He also ordered the DCs to regularly visit markets so that commodity prices remained stable.

He said that ensure timely publishing of rate list and its distribution while DCs and its staff oversee government and public rates constantly.

He also urged the DCs to bind the mega stores following  appropriate prices.

The CM also expressed concerns over gas load shedding during Ramadan.

Provincial Ministers, Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar including other officers were attended the meeting.
