Peshawar: High Court granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Senator Faisal Javed, ordering that he should not be arrested in the filed cases.

The Peshawar High Court, comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Sabitullah, heard a petition filed by Senator Faisal Javed regarding the details of cases.

Petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that a request had been filed for the details of the cases.

Deputy Attorney General Malik Daniyal Khan stated that there are 16 FIRs registered against Faisal Javed in Islamabad, and we have provided the details; they will present them in the courts there.

Court stated that there are other cases involving the federal government, and they should also submit their report. The Special Prosecutor General of NAB, Mohammad Ali, said that NAB would submit a response.

Justice Sahibzada Asadullah mentioned that they had granted bail to the individual yesterday and would provide the same date for this case.

He added that the person could go for Umrah and would not be arrested.

The court granted Faisal Javed protective bail until April 15.
