ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced that its airspace will remain closed to Indian airlines and India-registered aircraft until April 24.
According to a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.
The ban, originally imposed on April 23, 2025, has now lasted nearly a year, causing significant financial losses for Indian carriers. The move was a retaliatory measure after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty amid rising tensions following the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In response to Pakistan’s restrictions, India had also closed its airspace to Pakistani flights on April 30, further straining air connectivity between the two countries.
