ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan has launched its 5G service in few city for the consumers, which will extend to all cities within no time.
The first phase of 5G launch in Pakistan has initialized, PTA has invited expressions of interest for the services of an international consultant. The international consultant will prepare a report for the 5G launch in Pakistan. ORs have also been issued, the international consultant will consult with the industry and telecom operators. The consultant will develop a mechanism for release of spectrum as per international standards and determine the spectrum price per megahertz in rupees and dollars.
Apart from this, the consultant will also set up an easy payment plan for the spectrum auction. The consultant will give policy recommendations to the PTA for the spectrum auction. In the light of the consultant’s report, the federal government will auction the 5G spectrum.
