JAMSHORO: Devastating accident occurred on Monday when a van carrying members of the Kolhi tribe plunged into a ravine, resulting death of at least 16 and 30 injured.
The incident took place in the hilly area under the jurisdiction of the Bola Khan police station, where the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to high speed.
Eyewitnesses reported that, the van fell into a deep ditch, with the immediate death toll rising to 16. Emergency response teams arrived at the scene promptly and transported the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals.
Some of the injured individuals were later transferred to facilities in Hyderabad for further treatment.
Rescue officials indicated that the number of fatalities might increase, as several of the injured were in critical condition.
