Karachi: Polio campaign will started from tomorrow across the Sindh, during the campaign, more than 10 million children in Sindh will be vaccinated against polio
According to the spokesman of the Sindh Health Department, the polio campaign will be started across Sindh from tomorrow, during the campaign more than ten million children will be administered polio drops in Sindh. Five cases of polio have been reported in Pakistan this year, out of which two were from Karachi and one case from Bannu KP and the other two cases from East Sindh District of Karachi.
Several positive environmental samples of polio virus have been reported in Karachi in the last two months , because Karachi is the economic hub of the entire region so the frequent appearance of positive environmental patterns is a matter of concern, the emergence of positive environmental patterns from Karachi threatens the children of the entire region and the world.
More than 80,000 polio workers and supervisors will participate in the anti-polio campaign that will begin in 30 districts of Sindh from November 27, more than 5300 police personnel will be deployed in the field for the security of polio workers
Parents must get their children vaccinated against polio for complete eradication of polio virus
