KARACHI: A severe decline was observed in the Pakistan Stock Exchange, and the 100 index closed with a drop of more than 2000 points.
On the first day of the trading week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange saw a downturn in the 100 index from the start of the day, and the 100 index closed with a decrease of 2002 points at 116,439 points.
Today, the 100 index remained within a band of 2540 points, with a total of 310 million shares being traded for Rs.20.95 billion, and the market capitalization decreased by Rs.216 billion, ending at Rs.14,182 billion.
It is worth noting that on March 20, the 100 index reached its highest level of 119,421 points for the first time, with 660 million shares being traded for 38 billion rupees in the stock market.
