Lahore: Punjab Police has completed the security plan to ensure peace and order on New Year’s night.
According to the police spokesman, more than 25,000 police officers and personnel will be posted on security in the entire province including Lahore, 395 inspectors, 1125 sub-inspectors, 2060 ASIs, 1310 head constables and 18759 constables and other personnel on duty.
The spokesman said, more than 5,000 officers and personnel will be on security duty in Lahore, all activities will be monitored with the help of CCTV cameras in the province including Lahore. It has been directed to keep a close watch on anti-national elements.
Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said, on New Year’s night, one-wheeling, aerial firing and rioting will not be allowed.
IG Punjab ordered to ensure coordinated traffic arrangements on New Year’s night and said, Dolphin Squad, Peru, Elite Force and PHP teams should increase patrolling on roads and highways, search and sweep operations in all cities including Lahore regularly, last year’s recorded one-wheelers, air firing suspects should be granted guarantee bonds.
