Record increase in country foreign remittances as 3.1 billion dollars received

Islamabad: A record increase reported in the foreign remittances of the country as the first six month of financial year 2024-2025 received 3.1 billion dollars.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the highest amount of foreign remittances poured in from Saudi Arabia of 770.06 million dollar .

Second staggering amount came from United Arab Emirates (UAE) of 640.5 million dollar while a huge sum of 460.9 million dollar deposited in the national exchequer from the United Kingdom.

The country also got a whopping amount of 320. 3 million dollar from the USA .

Foreign remittances poured in December 2024, 3.1 billion dollars which is an uptick of 5.6 month to month basis.

In the first six month of the fiscal year 2024-205, a whopping 17.8 billions dollar foreign remittances collected which is more than 32.8 percent as compare to last year first six months.

As per the growth, the remittances of December 2024 year to year wise an uptick of 29.3 percent and month to month wise an increase of 5.6 percent.
