WEB DESK: Bollywood star Salman Khan was forced to delete a tweet regarding the ceasefire between Pakistan and India after facing backlash.
In recent days, India carried out aggression against Pakistan, to which the Pakistan Armed Forces delivered a strong and effective response downing five warplanes, including three Rafale jets. Additionally, a major military operation, Bunyān Marsūs, was launched last night.
Pakistan’s devastating counterattack destroyed India’s defense systems, and the Indian military acknowledged the damage.
A ceasefire has now been declared between India and Pakistan, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, who stated that the agreement was reached through American mediation.
While Indian media has reacted strongly to the ceasefire, Salman Khan also came under fire for tweeting in its support. According to Indian media reports, Salman Khan had tweeted, “Thank God for the ceasefire,”which sparked criticism and ultimately led him to delete the post.
