LAHORE: In the second match of the three-match One Day International (ODI) series, Australia set Pakistan a target of 232 runs to win.
The match, played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, saw Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi win the toss and invite Australia to bat first.
Australia scored 231 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Notable contributions came from Cameron Green with 53 runs, Josh Inglis with 51, and Matt Renshaw with 43.
For Pakistan, captain Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets, while Haris Rauf, Arafat Minhas, and Abrar Ahmed each took 2 wickets.
Pakistan, which won the first ODI, remains the team in the series to hold the lead.
It is worth noting that Pakistan defeated Australia by 5 wickets in the first match, giving them a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
