Traffic plan for Tri-Nation series, Champions Trophy matches in Karachi announced

Karachi: A comprehensive traffic plan for the upcoming Tri-Nation Series and Champions Trophy matches scheduled in Karachi has been announced by Karachi traffic police.

The tri-nation series matches will be held on February 12 to 14, whereas the ICC Champions Trophy matches will be played in Karachi from February 19 to 21, and March 1.

Sir Shah Suleman Road to remain open in match days

As per the traffic police, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for regular traffic during match days, while alternative routes and designated parking areas have been arranged to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Parking at National Coaching Center and China Ground

Visitors coming from Karsaz can park their vehicles at the National Coaching Center and China Ground by passing under the flyover.

Those coming from Millennium will also use the National Coaching Center and China Ground for parking.

Visitors from New Town can access the same parking areas.

Parks vehicles only in designated areas

Karachi Police have emphasized that vehicles must be parked only in designated areas to avoid any inconvenience.

Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow traffic police instructions for a hassle-free experience during match days.

Traffic Diversions:

Heavy traffic will be diverted from Sohrab Goth to Nipa and Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square during match days to manage congestion.

Similarly, heavy vehicles coming from People’s Chowrangi will be rerouted via University Road.

Restricted Roads for Heavy Traffic:

The following routes will be closed to heavy traffic:

Karsaz to Stadium, Millennium to New Town and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square
