ISLAMABAD: Unverified reports circulating on social media suggest that three individuals have died within three days in Islamabad after reportedly ingesting contaminated juice. The incidents have sparked concerns regarding both the mysterious nature of the deaths and the adequacy of medical response efforts.
According to the information shared online, the victims were aged 34, 19, and 22. All three were initially rushed to a public healthcare facility as their conditions rapidly worsened. Subsequently, two of the critically ill patients were transferred to the Capital Development Authority Hospital. One of them arrived in a comparatively stable state and was considered treatable, but despite medical intervention, the patient could not be saved.
Critics are raising alarms over the absence of postmortem examinations, which could potentially reveal the true cause of death. The claims first emerged through a social media influencer on X, but official authorities have yet to confirm or release any findings from a formal investigation.
In a related development from Punjab, it was revealed that children were being served toxic liquids disguised as fruit juices. Authorities uncovered a scam where dangerous products were sold under popular brand names, with the manufacturing facility operating illegally and violating multiple regulations.
A joint operation conducted by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and the ARY News programme Sar-e-Aam raided a major unregistered factory linked to these harmful products. During the raid, disturbing evidence came to light, showing that these unsafe juices were packaged attractively with well-known brands, enticing consumers into purchasing without suspicion.
