ISLAMABAD: The former President Arif Alvi called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazalur Rehman and discussed proposed constitutional package.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) close associate and senior leader, former president Dr Arif Alvi Tuesday called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in an effort to sway him, as the government-opposition tussle over the proposed judiciary-centric constitutional amendments intensifies.

The former president Alvi along with PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja held talks with Fazl on the political developments and the proposed constitutional amendments

JUI-F leaders Maulana Ataul Haq Darvesh, Maulana Asad Mahmood, Akhunzada Hussain and Abdul Jalil Jan were also present at the meeting.
