Pak pens letter to ICC, adopt stricter stance on India refusal playing champions trophy in Pakistan

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has penned a letter to International Cricket Council (ICC) after Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) refused coming to Pakistan for playing champions trophy 2025.

The PCB has written the letter on hosting of the champions trophy in which the PCB has called for reasons behind Indian refusal coming to Pakistan for playing the tournament.

The PCB has demanded the BCCI to apprise Pakistan in writing its reasons behind refusal playing the champions trophy in Pakistan through its letter to the ICC.

Sources said that the PCB has emphasized to hold champions trophy in Pakistan and apprised the Pakistan government point of view.

Few days ago the BCCI in words has informed the ICC that it will not go to Pakistan for playing champions trophy in Pakistan.

After which the ICC has apprised the PCB about Indian refusal to play champions trophy in Pakistan.

On the other hand Pakistan has started considering minus India formula taking stricter point of view after the BCCI refused to play champions trophy in Pakistan.

Whereas the Indian media reports it is claimed that after Pakistan refusal to hybrid model the ICC champions trophy will be shifted to South Africa.

It is pertinent to mention here that the champions trophy will be held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9 while eight teams will participate in the tournament.
