WEB DESK: India’s Olympic hero and renowned javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra, is hosting a major global javelin event. The event will take place on May 24th at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore, organized by JSW Sports.
The one-day competition has invited top javelin throwers from around the world, including Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem.
Neeraj Chopra, speaking to the media on April 21st, confirmed that, he contacted Arshad Nadeem and extended an invitation, however, a confirmation of participation from Arshad Nadeem has not yet been received.
Chopra stated, “Yes, I have spoken to Arshad Nadeem. He said he will consult with his coach and then decide. For now, there is no final response from his side. We have invited every top athlete, including Arshad. If he participates, it will also involve government approval, so the final list will be available only when the participation of everyone is confirmed.”
