ISLAMABAD: Federal government has imposed 18 % tax on Solar panel imports in Budget 2025-26
Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the budget, stating that measures are being proposed to bring equality to the sales tax system and address longstanding issues.He announced that to ensure fair competition between imported and locally manufactured solar panels, an 18% tax will be levied on the import of solar panels.
The finance minister emphasized that this move will play a significant role in promoting the domestic solar panel industry in Pakistan.
