Islamabad: Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday visited Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) Islamabad.
The Director General (DG) FDI Dr Sofia Younis briefed the the Minister about the institution’s performance, functions and challenges.
On the occasion, Syed Mustafa Kamal said that for the success of the immunization program competent persons be hired through transparent manner.
He also instructed to prepare a coordinated strategy and recommendations for the immunization program within a 15 days.
Kamal urged that such a strategy be adopted that parents be given understanding of the protective immunization program that they move forward for aministring vaccines to their children.
He also directed to review again the entire immunization program.
Earlier, he also co-chaired a high level meeting along with state minister for health Mukhtar Ahmed Bharat regarding ongoing and new projects of the health ministry.
Special Secretary health, Additional Secretary Health, President Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC, Chief Executive Officer CEO of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), DG Development, DG FDI and other high officials of the ministry were in attendance.
