New York: The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday at Iran’s request, citing mounting and undeniable evidence of direct US involvement in the unlawful campaign, which it claims has dangerously escalated the situation.
Iran’s request was supported by Russia, China, Pakistan, and Algeria.
Part of Iran’s request includes that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, as well as the UN’s Political Affairs Chief, Rosemary DiCarlo, brief the council again.
This will be the second meeting after a first emergency meeting last Friday.
