Faisal vawda calls for zero tolerance for those targeting the military and its leadership

ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has announced that family meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan will now be halted, asserting that these interactions are being misused for political messaging.

In a strongly-worded post on X, Vawda stated that individuals facing legal proceedings are given the right to meet family members for mutual well-being and lawyers for case-related discussions. However, he questioned the practice of using such meetings as platforms to disseminate political narratives.

He further declared that restrictions would now be imposed on family visits and emphasized that lawyers conveying politically charged messages unrelated to legal proceedings would also face limitations.

Vawda issued stern warnings against what he described as “mentally unstable elements” attempting to destabilize Pakistan and tarnish the reputation of its armed forces. He emphasized zero tolerance for those targeting the military and its leadership, warning of severe repercussions for spreading baseless accusations.

Addressing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Vawda cautioned the chief minister against creating disruptions, threatening that governor’s rule could end any remaining political maneuvering in the province.

He also remarked that those allegedly involved in the May 9 incidents and reportedly “hiding in KP” should consider themselves “lucky for the moment.”
