CTD eliminates three most wanted terrorists in DI Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, neutralizing three highly sought-after terrorists, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

CTD representatives reported that the operation led to the elimination of individuals identified as Naimatullah, Abdul Rauf Afghani, and Mustafa. These militants were known to be directly involved in attacks on police and security forces, posing significant threats due to their highly dangerous activities.

Authorities also revealed that a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition was seized during the operation. Items recovered included three Kalashnikov rifles, nine magazines, two hand grenades, and a considerable quantity of bullets.

The Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Additional Inspector General of CTD commended the teams involved for their swift and successful efforts. They asserted that any attacks targeting law enforcement personnel would be countered with resolute measures, reaffirming their determination to ramp up intelligence-led operations to eliminate militancy entirely.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the CTD for targeting and eliminating three terrorists allegedly financed by India in Dera Ismail Khan. Hailing the professionalism and courage demonstrated by the CTD officers, he noted that this operation effectively thwarted the malicious plans of the militants.

The minister underscored the importance of CTD and other security forces in maintaining peace across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and acknowledged their significant contributions. He further stated that the entire nation stands united with these brave forces in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.
