RAWALPINDI: A group of doctors from PIMS and Shifa Trust Eye Hospital visited Adiala Jail to assess the condition of former PTI leader Imran Khan’s injured eye.
According to sources, the medical team, which included specialists from both hospitals, arrived at the jail for the examination. Among them was retina specialist Dr. Nadeem Qureshi. The team also included ophthalmologists Dr. Arif and Dr. Ousal from PIMS.
The team arrived in a vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices to facilitate the assessment. Jail medical staff and personnel supported the doctors throughout the procedure.
After completing a detailed follow-up examination, the medical team returned to their respective facilities.In addition, Babar Awan was granted permission to meet with Imran Khan. Jail sources stated that the meeting took place in the designated conference room and lasted around 40 minutes. During the visit, Babar Awan inquired about Imran Khan’s injured eye.
Jail officials confirmed that the meeting and medical examination were carried out in strict adherence to jail protocols and procedures.
