KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi and various parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday due to an incoming weather system.

According to officials, the system may also trigger gusty winds in the city. At present, Karachi is experiencing partly cloudy conditions, with sea breeze activity temporarily halted.

Meteorologists say a westerly wave is expected to enter Balochistan from Iran tonight, influencing weather patterns across Sindh and bringing rainfall on April 6 and 7.

The PMD added that several districts including Jamshoro, Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal are also expected to receive light to moderate showers.

Earlier, the Met Office had warned of another western disturbance approaching Balochistan from Sunday evening, likely to persist in upper regions until April 9, bringing rain, thunderstorms, and isolated heavy falls or hailstorms in multiple areas of the province.
