ISLAMABAD: An Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Islamabad, according to the Foreign Office.
The Foreign Office stated that Vice Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed the Iranian delegation. During the visit, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will hold meetings with senior Pakistani leadership.
The meetings are expected to focus on regional developments and ongoing efforts for peace and stability. Following his engagements in Pakistan, Abbas Araqchi will also visit Muscat and Moscow.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced his upcoming visits to Muscat and Moscow, emphasizing that neighboring countries are a priority. In a statement posted on Twitter, he said he was traveling for timely visits to these cities to strengthen bilateral relations and consult on regional progress.
Meanwhile, a White House spokesperson confirmed to the American media that the US delegation will participate in peace negotiations, with Steve Wootkoff and Jared Kushner departing for Pakistan on Saturday morning to engage in talks.
