KARACHI: Members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have tabled a resolution in the Sindh Assembly, honoring the martyrs of the Maarka-e-Haq and advocating for the nomination of Field Marshal Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The resolution, put forward by MQM legislators, highlights Field Marshal Munir’s efforts in fostering peace and stability across the region. It particularly credits him with playing a key role in easing tensions related to the US-Iran situation and promoting regional harmony.
As per the document, Munir’s contributions toward preventing or mitigating the Iran-US conflict are described as “admirable,” and the resolution urges the authorities to consider him for a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
