Anmol “Pinky” allegedly burned hands with acid to erase evidence before arrest

KARACHI: Police investigators have alleged that Anmol “Pinky” intentionally burned her hands with acid shortly before her arrest in an effort to eliminate possible forensic evidence.

According to officials involved in the investigation, the suspect allegedly claimed that the cocaine produced through her network was unmatched in quality across the country. Authorities say the narcotics were sold under the brand name “Gold” and packaged in customised containers. During the operation carried out to arrest her, law enforcement reportedly seized several boxes and bottles carrying the label “Queen Madam Pinky Don.”

Investigators further alleged that the accused had a preference for red wine and once purchased grapes worth around Rs500,000 to prepare homemade wine through self-distillation. Sources also claimed she personally examined and tested newly manufactured cocaine before approving it for market distribution.

As per preliminary findings, the suspect allegedly operated secret drug-production facilities in both Karachi and Lahore. Officials stated that while Karachi served as the stronger distribution hub, large-scale production activities were believed to take place in Lahore.

Authorities also claimed that the network had been planning to launch a newer and costlier narcotics product within the next few months. However, investigators say the operation was halted following recent police action.

The inquiry additionally suggested that the accused frequently donated substantial amounts of money to people in need. Police sources alleged that millions of rupees were distributed daily as charity, including one reported occasion in which Rs7 million was allegedly given to a beggar.

Officials confirmed that nearly 15 cases involving drug trafficking, money laundering, and other serious crimes have been registered against her in Karachi and Lahore. They also stated that the Anti-Narcotics Force had filed a narcotics-related case against her in 2019, after which she remained a proclaimed offender in several matters.

Investigators described the alleged network as highly organised and influential, saying this had complicated efforts by law enforcement agencies to take action against it.
