RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has conducted a targeted operation against militant hideouts in border regions with Afghanistan, resulting in the death of 26 insurgents and the destruction of four key terror infrastructure sites.
Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that the military action was intelligence-driven and aimed at dismantling the “Fitna al-Khawarij” networks operating across the border. The operation was launched in response to recent attacks on security posts, including an FC outpost in Musa Darra, a military checkpoint in North Waziristan, and a police station in Bannu.
The military destroyed four significant facilities, which included a training camp, weapons stash, safe houses, and other militant operational sites linked to commanders Aalim Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Janikhel. Officials emphasized that the strikes were precise, minimizing collateral damage, and conducted in a controlled manner.
Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, emphasizing that protecting citizens and ensuring security remain top priorities. He assured that the ongoing “Azm-e-Istehkam” operation will persist with full vigor, and security agencies will continue efforts to eradicate terrorism, especially threats emanating from across the border.
