Hyderabad govt girls school named among World’s best School

HYDERABAD: A government school in Hyderabad has been named among the world’s top educational institutions.

The World’s Best School Prizes, organized by the international education organization T4 Education, aim to celebrate and encourage schools that excel in teaching, student welfare, and social development. These awards are recognized as one of the most prestigious honors in global education, with thousands of applications from around the world, out of which only select schools make it to the final shortlist.

This year, Pakistan has only two schools in the running for this esteemed award. One is a private school from Punjab, and the other is a government school from Sindh.

The Government Girls Lower Secondary School in Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain, Hyderabad, has achieved a significant milestone by being shortlisted among the top 10 finalists in the Community Collaboration category for the 2026 edition of the Worlds Best School Prizes.

Sindh’s Education Minister, Sardar Ali Shah, congratulated the school’s administration, principal, teachers, students, parents, and the local community, emphasizing that this recognition is not just a milestone for one school but a matter of pride for Sindh’s education system, government schools, and Pakistan as a whole.
