JHANG: Two sanitation workers employed by a private contractor engaged by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) died after falling into a sewer while carrying out a cleaning operation in Jhang.
According to rescue officials, Rescue 1122 recovered the bodies from a manhole near Saddar Tanga Adda after an emergency response.
The deceased were identified as 24-year-old Kashif Ali, a resident of Lahore, and 26-year-old Abid Ali from Okara.
Following the completion of legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the victims’ families for burial.
