Islamabad: The National Assembly (NA) session will be held today in Chair of Speaker NA Asad Qaiserat 4 pm this evening.
The voting for opposition’s no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be carried out.
The session which is going to held after gap of three days will start a debate on the no-confidence motion against the PM. The Opposition leader in the NA Shahbaz Sharif will commence the debate.
As per the constitution, it is mandatory to carry out voting within seven-day after presentation of the no confidence motion.
The no-confidence motion submitted by the opposition said that the premier has lost the confidence of the lower house, henceforth, he can’t remain prime minister.
After allied party of the government, Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) quitting the alliance, the government has lost its majority in the lower house.
According to number games the government has 142 votes which included PTI 133, PML-Q 4, GDA 3, BAP 1 and AML 1.and the opposition parties have strength of 199 members.
