Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has forwarded advice to President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi to dissolve National Assembly (NA).
While acting upon the advice of the Prime Minister, President Dr. @ArifAlvi has approved the removal of Mr. Mohammad Sarwar from the position of Governor of the Punjab and appointed Mr. Omar Sarfraz Cheema as Governor Punjab under the Article 101 of the Constitution of Pakistan.

The PM in his short speech congratulated the Nation over Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri rejecting the no confidence motion against the premier under article 5 A of the constitution.
The premier also said that the nation should start preparation for the new elections in the country. The PM apprised that all the things are in control and they should not be worried..

The Prime Minister said a caretaker setup will be formed after dissolution of the assembly, initiating the procedure for new elections. He said people should prepare for fresh elections.
Imran Khan said no-confidence move against him was based on a foreign agenda, and an elected government cannot be removed under a foreign conspiracy.
He congratulated the nation on foiling this conspiracy. He said only people have power to bring a government an elected government in the country.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had rejected the opposition parties no confidence motion under article 5
(A) of the constitution.
