JI Karachi Chief Ended Sit-In On Assurance Of Sindh LB Minister Nasir Hussain Shah

Karachi: Religio-political party, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has announced end of sit-in against expected delaying of local bodies election which is scheduled to be held on January 15 this month on assurance of SIndh local body minister Nasir Hussain Shah.

The provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah reached outside chief minister house at the venue of the JI sit-in and held talks with the JI chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman and its leadership.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that he will present the issues raised by JI with Chairmn PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and then we will come back to the JI headquarter Idara Nore-Haq.

He said that we are firmed on agreement brokered with the JI earlier in previous year of January while the Minister also chanted a slogan, “take a step Hafiz Sahib we are with you”.

He said that the doors of the CM house are always opened for you. While he assured the JI chief that the elections will be held on time.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that the PPP never runaway from the elections and we have same opinion what the JI have.

The local body minister said that first time the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)
it self delayed the election owing to rains then for some reasons the elections were delayed many times on wards.

He said that all the promises made with the JI in the earlier sit-inn were fulfilled adding that some people who wanted delaying of elections have some demands.

On arrival of the Minister Nasir Hussain Shah at the sit-in venue the JI chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman welcomed him in the sit-in invited him to address the crowd.

Talking at the occasion Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that that ally of the PPP is hatching conspiracy delaying the local body elections.

He said that we wanted that the PPP government make final announcement of the LB elections. The JI Karachi chief said that we also wanted that cricket in Karachi should be restored.

Earlier, addressing the party activists Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman expressed thanked to all the party workers, supporters and activists for attending the sit-in.

Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that we reached to the venue side after dodging three different hurdles. While in his speech he narrated the problems of Karachi and negligence of the ruling parties.

He said that the JI created awareness among the people regarding the rights of the Karachi and their solutions.

It is pertinent to mention here that the JI took to streets after Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) started a campaign for a new delimitations in Karachi and Hyderabad and they are demanding delaying the local body elections until the new delimitations are done.
